And we love all the things that go into making our Earth's water the miracle that it is. We want to everyone to keep having fun in the water, you, us and all the water creatures. So when we started Swish Suits we decided to build a company that gives back more than it takes and only takes what the natural world can afford to give. That’s one of the many reasons why we use limestone based neoprene. It’s also why we live our lives and run our company in as eco-friendly a way as we can.

Traditional neoprene is derived from fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are responsible for the vast majority of greenhouse gasses and are disastrous when the inevitable goes wrong and they get into the ocean itself. All Swish Wetsuits are made from Bioprene, a revolutionary higher-performing neoprene that is derived from limestone instead of petrol. The key ingredient for neoprene in both sources is carbon. Only, there’s more carbon to be had in limestone than in all the air, sea, fossil fuels and living things on earth, combined! Everything has to be made of something so we chose a material that there’s enough of to go around.

Swish is more than an eco product, we’re a lifestyle company and we strive to have as positive an impact on our environment as possible. For us eco is in personal choices like eschewing cars for bicycles and maintaining modest (but highly fashionable) wardrobes. And in the ways we run our company, putting solutions like video chats before flights and digital ink before printing. It’s also about helping others, through donations to impactful charities, a commitment to women’s empowerment that is at a the core of our company, and personally contributing to great projects like AWARE. Being an eco and socially responsible company isn’t an end point, it is something we strive for every day.
